Until further notice, new queries will not be accepted for the query page. We hope to be able to resume accepting queries before too long, but work and other obligations have greatly reduced the time we have available to keep the pages updated. We will continue, however, to help as much as we can with questions about researching in Drew County. Also, any corrections to e-addresses will be accepted. Thanks for your kind words about our webpage and your interest.
Please do not put my e-address in your address book if you (1) don't keep your anti-virus software up to date, and/or (2) plan to send me numerous messages that have nothing to do with genealogy. While I appreciate your trying to brighten my day, I receive many messages each day from my 3 webpages, and don't have time to read a lot of extra mail. I'm only asking this because several well-meaning folks have clogged my mailbox with messages - often with pictures attached - in the last few months.

Historical Time Line of the Wilmar Baptist Church
1899-1999 Available!
From Wanda Reaves:
If anyone is interested, we worked on the Baptist Church history and have
everything listed in booklet form from 1899 - 1999 when we celebrated our 100th
anniversary. It lists everyone who was ever a member, all pastors, deacons,
teachers, church officers, musicians, current members, their birthdays and
addresses if available. There is also a condensed version of minutes from each
of these years. To preserve the originality of the past, we used the same
spelling, punctuation and phrases used in the original minute books by various
clerks. We still have copies (69 pages) available at $5.00 each plus $2.50
postage and handling. This information is also on microfilm at Ouachita Baptist
University in Arkadelphia, AR, and the Department of History in Little Rock,
AR. A copy has also been placed in the Drew County Archives.
When I was working on the church history, I also received a lot of information on the town of Wilmar. I am now working on putting that together.
If anyone is interested in obtaining a copy of the booklet entitled Historical Time Line Of Wilmar Baptist Church 1899-1999 at the above price, they can contact me and I will see that it is mailed. The money will go to the church. I am the current church clerk and am also the Chairman of the Church History Committee.
